1. Introduction

Mise en Place ("we", "our" or "usemise.io") values the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website and services.

2. Data we collect

Data you provide:

• Email and phone number (when joining the waitlist)
• Menu images submitted for analysis (not stored after processing)

Automatically collected data:

• Browsing data via Google Analytics (anonymized, only with your consent)
• IP address (not stored on our servers)

3. How we use your data

• To process requested menu analyses
• To communicate platform updates (if you joined the waitlist)
• To improve our website and services (anonymized analytics)

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• Infrastructure providers (hosting, database) acting as processors under our direction
• AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepSeek) for menu analysis processing — only textual menu content is sent, no personal data

4.1. AI analysis of event comments

When you respond to a post-event NPS survey and write a comment, we ask whether you allow that text to be analyzed by artificial intelligence to generate summaries and classify themes (service, food, ambiance, etc).

• Opt-out: permission is checked by default and you can uncheck it at any time before submitting.
• Recipients: the comment is sent to one of the AI providers contracted by the restaurant (Anthropic, OpenAI or DeepSeek), solely for analysis. These providers are based outside Brazil; the transfer is covered by the LGPD provisions on international data transfer.
• Personal data masking: before sending, we automatically mask CPF, CNPJ, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and credit card numbers that may appear in the text. First names may be kept so the restaurant can act on the feedback.
• Retention: the summary and classification are generated once and stored alongside your review. The original comment is also stored so the restaurant can read it in full.
• Right to revoke: even after submitting the review, you can request deletion of the data via the e-mail below. The restaurant can also disable this analysis for all customers.

5. Cookies and consent

We use Google Analytics to understand how our site is used. Analytical cookies are only activated after your explicit consent. You can refuse cookies at any time.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or request portability of your personal data. You may also revoke your consent at any time.

7. Data retention

Menu images submitted for analysis are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. Waitlist data is kept until the platform launches or until you request deletion.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of sensitive data at rest, and restricted access controls.
